The Alchemists Cottage is an elgant looking partly cobbled cottage, with a table with his 9ct golden book of alchemy and widows of citrine, london blue topaz, amethyst and peridot . Stamped on the door is the all seeing eye of protection and the triske sign of the universe at the top. The roof is stamped with stars.
The locket measures 3cm (not including bail) high x 2cm wide x 1cm deep. It opens in the middle. Its set on a handmade toggle on a 36 inch belcher chain which can be worn long or double with the toggle at 18 inches.
Made from sterling silver sheet, tube and wire. All raw materials are from Cookson Gold a large bullion dealer in Birmingham.
This is hallmarked 925, 375 (gold), with my unique makers mark from the birmingham assay office.

Inspiration
This is inspired by the alchemist in his cottage surrounded by potions and cauldrons of bubbling liquid, the room is lit by multicoloured sparkling light coming through the gemstone windows. sometimes he has a break from the fumes and comes outside to check his golden book of alchemy which is full of spells and potions and complicated equations.
I love making house lockets, each with their own character, where a faerie could be living. There is a magical space inside with a concertina piece of card for a wish or you could put something special in there.
